This Nursing Student Scholarship program, created by Neuffer family and friends, aims to perpetuate the memory and advance her life's mission to promote international understanding of human rights and social justice while creating opportunities for women journalists to develop their skills.
A Nursing Student Scholarship woman journalist will be selected to spend one academic year in a program tailored to the access to Boston-area universities as well as The Boston Globe and The New York Times. Flexible structure of this program will provide each other with the opportunity to pursue academic research and hone her reporting skills covering topics related to human rights.The Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship is open to women journalists who focus is human rights and social justice. Nursing Student Scholarship Applicants must be dedicated to a career in journalism in print, broadcast or online media and demonstrate a strong commitment to sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues upon the completion of the fellowship. Excellent oral and written English skills required. A scholarship will be given, and expenses, including airfare and housing, will be discussed.
